The Time Has Come
Thank you for your interest in Soul Seeds – and thanks for hanging in there with us as we get things going. We’ll be sending out more regular communications and look forward to engaging with you to help Soul Seeds reach its fullest potential.
“Your Pain is Your Power”
I recently heard this statement on a television program produced several years ago and was struck by how fitting it is for this time. What is particularly compelling to me is that it flips around what we usually believe about pain. That it is debilitating. That we’re victims or that we’re weak. Rather, it suggests that because we go through difficulties — health challenges, betrayals, heartbreaks, loss, traumatic events and yes, even a pandemic — that we find our strength. We tap into our courage. We marshal our emotional reserves. We activate our networks. We find our voices. And therein lies our power.

To me, it is also the essence of the work of Soul Seeds, recognizing that people in pain need healing energy and unconditional support in order to find their center again, giving them the power of their voices and the strength to reclaim their lives.
We’re all assessing our “new normal” as we are coping with global, collective pain. For those who were already struggling with trauma, these profoundly challenging times have only amplified their distress. Mental health professionals observe that healing occurs in collaboration with others because it helps for people to know they are not alone. This is why we believe the time has come for Soul Seeds. And why moved from my position on the Board to take on the role of Executive Director. We believe that both traditional and nontraditional approaches are required in this unprecedented time for those who are facing mental health stressors and for the health providers and other caregivers.

We have seen the positive impact on our individual clients and earlier this year (seems like lifetimes ago), we had begun to do work with veterans with incredibly powerful results after just one session. I invite you to join us in being part of this transformative work. Donate if you can. Email me with ideas about what you’d like to see in our updates or if you have contacts that can help fund this work or get the word out. We always envisioned Soul Seeds as a collective force bringing unity to our communities. Now more than ever, we hear the call and are counting on you to hold a vision for this work. Join us in being part of Healing with Humanity.
We appreciate you. Our collective vision is also our power. Thank you for believing in us.
